# Adding Contacts to List

The process of adding contacts to a [contact list](/voicegenie-ai/product-guides/contact-list.md#what-is-a-contact-list) is as quite simple.

We can bulk upload contacts to a contact list via a .xlsx file or .csv file we can add the contacts manually or we can import from [<mark style="color:yellow;">hubspot</mark>](https://www.hubspot.com/) or [<mark style="color:yellow;">HighLevel</mark>](https://www.gohighlevel.com/valon-14-day-trial?fp_ref=vdfreetrial\&gad_source=1\&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxsm3BhDrARIsAMtVz6NEeYUfEci2K0fPd0mBEOrt4Zd6FpwrBVm6aBlxSqFiR0SE3OUUf8QaAsU2EALw_wcB)

### How to bulk upload Contacts ?

To bulk upload the contacts , we need to add the contacts to an XLSX file in a specific format, as explained below

Follow these steps to bulk upload contacts::

* [x] Click on the *Name* of the contact list , that you want to add the contacts to.
* [x] Click on the <mark style="color:yellow;">Download Sample</mark> button, to see the file format.
* [x] Add your contacts to a .xlsx file in the mentioned format.
* [x] Click on the <mark style="color:yellow;">Upload File</mark>, browse and select your file on the computer.
* [x] Click on <mark style="color:yellow;">Upload.</mark>&#x20;

Please note that the inclusion of the <mark style="color:yellow;">`customerNumber`</mark> column is mandatory. If this column is missing, the Excel file will be rejected. Additionally, ensure that \`<mark style="color:yellow;">`` customerNumber` ``</mark> is spelled and formatted exactly as specified.

* [x] Click on the *Name* of the contact list , that you want to add the contacts to.

* [x] Fill out contacts details
* [x] Click on <mark style="color:yellow;">Save</mark>

### How to import from hubspot?
